This C8 Double 12S #008 is the ONLY Le Mans homologation model powered by a 4.0 liter BMW V8-race engine and with the riveted widebody longtail aesthetic. Spyker built around 14 normal Double 12S, however in order to properly homologate their Double 12R race car, they needed to produce one road going version with the insane 10,000rpm BMW-Mader racing V8. The engine has been downtuned to 8,000rpm which still sounds utterly insane, and power has stayed the same in an all aluminium chassis and body
